Two librarians present at annual SUNY Librarians conference

Assistant Professor Katie Jezik and Instructor Brenden McCarthy presented a poster session at the annual SUNY Librarians Association (SUNYLA) conference last week.

Their session, “The Power of Primo: Leveraging the new LSP’s Functionality for the Delivery of Faculty Adopted Open Educational Resources,” focused on the intersection between two significant SUNY and Hudson Valley library initiatives: the OER (open educational resources) initiative and the implementation of the new library service platform Alma and its public interface Primo. Jezik and McCarthy have lead roles in the system implementation and regularly collaborate with faculty in their liaison areas to identify high-quality OER in their disciplines.

The SUNYLA conference was held June 12 through 14 at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse with several hundred librarians, directors, and library staff in attendance.
